Augmenta11y — a AR aide for people with dyslexia

Augmenta11y was my Bachelor’s Thesis Project in the domain of Human Computer Interaction. It is an app that helps people with dyslexia read better on the go. By pointing their phone camera at a piece of text, the app identifies the text and overlays it with a typeface that is styled according to their specific preference.

The project poster was presented at India HCI 2018 under the Late Breaking Work category and the research paper was presented at the 9th International Conference on Computer Communication and Informatics, 2019. The project also won Saavishkar - the Computer Science department award.
